Writing For Children

Having had three appeals in this past month from people seeking companionship and mutual help in a workshop for people writing for children, and since I, too, have manuscripts for children in my files that need to get into the mail, I'm ready to launch a small workshop exclusively for this purpose.

Coincidentally (a prophetic happenstance?) the March/April issue of Working Writer arrived in the mail yesterday with a definitive listing of the genres now being accepted, the targeted ages, with prime examples of published books for each level–the optimum number of words and illustrations required.  Extremely helpful!

I'm making extra copies of this article–the best I've seen on the subject–and will send one to any of you out there in Blogland who will send a SASE to me at Willma Gore, 405 Jacks Canyon Rd. #138, Sedona, AZ 86351.
