Winter Wonderland

3/19/12– I was warned by son who has lived here much longer than I, that I should not purchase plants for the patio in March as we often have a March freeze.  Well, the temp has not yet dropped to 32 degrees, but I have protected the plants I purchased last week in the bright sunshine and in the past two days have seen more snow than any winter or spring since I arrived in Sedona in 2004.  Snowfall has been beautiful for two days. The flowering plum trees began displaying their pink blossoms  two weeks ago so the one outside my patio is lovely pink and white due to snow-covered branches.

What does this have to do with writing? It will fit somewhere as all our life experiences do.  Mainly, to report on writing, my "Braving House Calls," sent and accepted last week by Kindle, is now "more complete" in that I have the intro, a few "praises" by those who have heard chapters, the dedication, back cover blurb and cover credits ready to go.  Have made an appointment with son, Alan, to get the works into Create Space publishing branch of Amazon.

That means, with BHC as far along as I can personally make it,  I will begin today to write an essay for one of the Chicken Soup Call-Outs reported to you all last week.  Lots of possibles.  For you, as well as for me.  –Willma
