"Fountain of Smart"?
I like the following saying that comes at the close of e-mails from a favorite e-spondent:
"We have enough Youth; How about a fountain of Smart?"
I'll go for that, and I'm guessing that this is another for my "Only In Sedona" file. Sedona is the site of countless "'isms", "'ologies" and promises of cures for everything: brain cures, heart cures, emotion cures, self identification cures, sadness and happiness cures, and more, plus how to get wisdom from the red rocks. All sorts of things to be cured and cures to write about.
Here is the latest that is sure to find its way into my writing somewhere: This evening I am invited to a memorial service, a genuine "first." One writer friend here is a life-long devotee to her pet cats. The latest who died this week at the age of 18 has been treated to more medical service (shots, chiropractic manipulation, etc.) than most humans can enjoy or afford. For the service, one of the owner's friends has created a headstone. I expect we will install that this evening. Kitty has been buried on writer friend's property. I understand that the service will be properly celebrated with eulogies and champagne.
Until tomorrow, Willma
