Away Time
One of my faithful writer groups met here this afternoon–always a pleasure . All four of those present read; all are inspiring for their various subject matter. Today's included a humorous short piece on a totally lost computer hard drive; one on a visit to a prison; one on the funeral of a rabbit, and one that is a continuation of a story for young people, their participation in an annual July 4th parade–and their winning costumes. These readings never fail to remind me of new things I can write about that, without these "triggers," would not have come to mind.
The above are my words of "wisdom" for today as I leave at 6 a .m. tomorrow for a trip to California and my old stomping grounds in Owens Valley at the foot of Mt. Whitney. It will be a fast trip and I will return, hopefully with new ideas, on the 13th. Until then, Willma
