Money Markets?
Several years ago I sold a short article to The Dollar Stretcher. In checking back through files, I find that this journal has accepted three articles from me: "Save the Last Drop–You Paid For it," "Shared Housing," and the most-recent ( 2007), "New Income From Ordinary Skills." I did not even know if the publication still exists.
One member of my writer workshop laughingly described her earnings of $75 a day for being "connected to wires" as she slept. She says "I was 'sleeping for money' but I prefer to call it "Napping For Dollars." She resaearched this subject and found a number of medical institutions and colleges that pay human guinea pigs. I told her about The Dollar Stretcher. Since I have credits there with Gary Foreman, editor, she and I agreed to collaborate on an article. I queried Gary yesterday mornring. By afternoon I had a go-ahead. Not a fabulous market, but they pay 10 cents a word.
If you have ideas about saving in today's stressed economy, e-mail Gary at gary@stretcher.com
Spread the word.–Willma
