The Chicken Soup For The Soul series of anthologies can be a great market for any number of those essays we write but are not sure where they might sell.  A few months ago (and I believe I reported it briefly here) the series under the title "What I Learned From the Cat" accepted my little article, "Feline Fortitude," a humorous take on our cat that almost cost us the friendship of dear neighbors because kitty "harvested" birds from their feeders almost daily.

A notce arrives today citing the antholgy subjects for which Chick Soup now seeks contributions: Christmas Stories, Dieting & Exercise, Endurance Sports, Grandmothers, Grieving & Recovery, Grieving & Recovery for Cat owners, and another for dog owners, Mothers & Daughters. All have deadlines either by December 2009 or early in 2010.
