More info on the three-year response to my essay submission.  Yesterday, Sept. 1, a check came in the mail from Elders Wisdom Book Project, according to the letterhead.  This is the  organization that first expressed interest in my little essay, "Love, Honor & Read The List."  The check is  for $100.  I do not recall what the first contact told me as to the amount of payment but–unlike the other anthology publishers who automatically include books as part of the payment–this letter tells me that I will have an opportunity to purchase a copy of the book in which my essay appears.  The anthology is titled I Didn't Get Old Being Stupid.

I have responded with the information that I will be selling (I hope!) my books at the First Annual Sedona Book Festival on October 3 and offered them the opportunity to have me distribute flyers about their publishing company–and or books, if they are published by then.
