Computer Communication Woes

Ah, the wonders of e-mail communication:  The gentleman who first wanted me to send ten copies of my novel to Germany has a strange e-mail.  I can reply to any message he sends via e-mail, but a message will not go through when I address it  to the e-mail shown on his messages.  His first request was that I send the books to Germany and he gave me the address saying he would be there to receive them by Sept. 20.  I replied to him saying that I knew the shipping cost would be high and since he was going to Germany, wouldn't it be better to send them to him here in Phoenix and let him carry them to Germany.

I did not hear from him and decided that he wanted his original orders followed. I know that a package requires about a month to get to England, so I packaged the books and rushed to the post office to get them on their way.The price to mail 10 books was SHOCKING to say the least.  $45. He had told me to add the postage to my statement. When I returned to my desk and computer, I checked my "Delete" box, as I do about once a week because sometimes e-mails that are personal messages get shuffled into "Delete."  Sure enough, there was an e-mail about the books,  The orderer agreeed that I should send the books to him in Phoenix and he would carry them to Germany.  Alas, they were already on their way.

I found his phone number and left a message on his answering machine.  I also reduced the stated price per book to help cover that horrendous postage cost.  Now, I await his next response.    Woe is me!  Willma
