Book Festival

10/2/03–Tomorrow I will make an appearance and sell books (we can always hope!) at the Inaugural Sedona Book Festival.  Packed in my little wheeled grocery cart (that also serves as my laundry basket between shopping trips) are 40 books, four titles, a notebook to record SALES (more hope), stands to hold a copy of each book vertical for display, $50 in bills for change (too optimistic, I know), and a container with a sheaf of my business cards.  I will be picked up by a Fellow Hopeful at 7 a.m.  We are to arrive for set-up by 8, be ready by 9,  and stay the course until 5 p.m.

A lovely poster (made by an artist friend) will accompany me.  My picture, is on it plus color copies of the covers of four books against a deep purple background .  I have printed a little sign that I will clip to the top of the poster:  "TODAY, ONLY, $10 EACH." Another item I'm adding is a fat roll of Scotch tape.

Speaking of the color purple, I will wear my purple outfit and my "red hat that doesn't go. . ."  No use pertending I'm a Boomer. That's my kids' classification.  Anyway, who would I fool trying to look younger than I am?

By Monday I'll report results–good or bad.–Willma.
