Mottos & Memos

10/19/09 From the website of a writer/photographer friend, I'm borrowing the quote below.  It is from her inspirational book, The Healing Home.  I have traveled to Europe, Egypt, Israel, China and to the Galapagos Islands, among other foreign lands.  Although I took always took and saved notes on these adventures, nothing about those trips has gotten into my published writing.

"It is from the context of the home that we can begin an exciting and awakening voyage–a voyage as exhilarating as that of the first sea explorers–or the first astronaughts. For this voyage is a voyage of understanding the sybolism of the Self."–(from Maureen Murphy, Studio M Books)

I've lived in six different California Counties in ten different cities and enjoyed life wherever I am. Since arriving in Sedona in 2004, I have moved twice.  What this means is that "home" for me is not a structure, city or  town but a state of mind.  Sitting comfortably before my computer, I am "at home."   I never know what I'm in for most days–except for leading my ever-inspiring workshops–but I do know that each day will be a treasured adventure of the mind and spirit. –Willma
