10/30/09– It's nice to be able to say "I have an agent. . . " Of course, it is even nicer to be able to say, "My agent has found a publisher for me."  Three of my novels are in the hands of an agent.  Although she has re[ported some "close calls," she has not yet been able to place any of my novels.

I have mentioned on this Blog before the fact that I am working on a memoir.  Yesterday I cited the e-mail of an agent seeking such.  However, because I am on contract with Agent #1, I knew I must contact her as to whether she wants to represent my memoir or if I am free to submit it to another agent.  I sent her a brief summary of the memoir.  Within 24 hours she sent encouraging words about my summary and praise for my title, "Iron Grip," and urged me to go ahead and send to that agent who is connected with an higly regarded agency.
