Electronic Publishing
11/30/09–I've been dragging my heels ever since the raves about electronic publishing emerged. I like a book in my hands with pages I can turn. However, a California writer friend lists in her November newsletter a half dozen promotional appearances for her books that she has coming up, a number of which will feature her wisdom on electronic publishing, and the fact that one of her books is among the top five chosen for a major award.
One of my sons has one of those palm-size readers that he carries with him all the time on which he can call up a novel or other reading material while he waits for chekout in the grocery or for an appointment. I can no longer "buck the tide."
There's no doubt that electronic publishing is the wave of the future. Whether it will make money to reward its writers or not is to be seen. My CA friend sent me the info this morning on contacting EPIC, (the Electronically Published Internet Connection) which "exists to help porofessional writers lean more about the best publishing opportunities. . .for promotion and market growth. . .
The rest of you out there may already know of EPIC. If not, check out this service/publisher on http://epicauthors.com/ – Willma
