About
From birth to age 20, I lived with my family on a series of ranches at the foot of the California High Sierra.
My first article, sold at age 20, featured a bicycle ride with my college girlfriend along Highway 395 with additional pedaling on side roads up into the mountains. I have been writing and publishing ever since.
My monthly humor column, appears in various papers in the Southwest and across the continent.
I lead weekly workshops for beginners and advanced writers.
Check my upcoming appearances, or my calendar of writer workshops.
GOALS: I try to keep four or five articles in the mail or out in cyberspace all the time. I constantly check markets. I pass this information on to students in my classes and to share in workshops.
You may feel you lead an "ordinary" life, but your experiences are unique. Cash in on them.

Dear Willma,
Good luck on your tour of CA! I am impressed–always am–and envious.
I wish I could say I have completed a book. But it is coming.
I have had two stories accepted for publication in anthologies—editors trying to locate publishers now. Topics: Stories from ex spouses of deceased ex husbands and the other: Stories for teen agers about living in abusive homes. Gruesome topics, but I picked them up from the Poets and Writers magazine in call for manuscripts and wrote them.
And still trying to put my life together in a new form. Most days are good!
I wonder whether you will pick up this message or whether I should email.
See you in September or October.
