GORE SPEAKS AT PILOT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Village of Oak Creek writer and writing workshop leader, Willma Gore, appeared at the 1100-attendee convention of Pilot International when the group gathered at the Marriott Hotel & Spa in Phoenix from July 6 through July 11. Willma offered a brief address on July 10 and was provided a table to sell her books.
“Pilot is an international philanthropic group. It was founded in 1921 in the Deep South of the U.S. and named in honor of “river boat pilots who navigated dangerous waters with courage and skill,” Gore explained.

“This was the best sales day I’ve had,” Gore says. “I autographed 50 copies of my latest book, Long Distance Grandparenting, and my two previously-published books, Just Pencil Me In—Your Guide to Moving & Getting Settled and my humorous novel, Something’s Leaking Upstairs.”
Gore’s writing workshops meet Thursday mornings at Worm Books & Music in the Outlet Mall. Those interested are invited to phone her at 284-2703 or e-mail her at willmagore (at) msn [dot] com.

Willma, I LOVE your website! The picture on the first page is dynamite, too, and it reminded me of Audrey's home in the oak trees. Would you consider adding a date to your schedule and come with Audrey to the Novel Idea on April 9th?? It would be like a grand high school/college/family reunion. Love, Barbara
